  Modern Technologies Law Journal (MTLJ) is a fully open-access journal, and all articles are available on the Web to all users immediately upon publication. All content of the Journal is published with open access under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). This license allows users to copy and redistribute the article under the following conditions:

     - Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.

     - Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material.

 Benefits of open access for authors include:

     - Authors retain copyright to their work.

 The Policy of Screening for Plagiarism

 All manuscripts must be free of content that is plagiarised. Using similarity and plagiarism detection software, manuscripts submitted to Modern Technologies Law Journal (MTLJ) will be checked for plagiarism. Before submitting their manuscript to the Journal, all authors are advised to use plagiarism detection software to check for similarities.

 Editors check the plagiarism detection of manuscripts in Modern Technologies Law Journal (MTLJ)  using the iThenticate (www.ithenticate.com) for English abstracts, and  Iranian plagiarism detection software Hamyab (https://hamyab.sinaweb.net/) for the Persian text. Modern Technologies Law Journal (MTLJ) will immediately reject papers leading to plagiarism or self-plagiarism. Whenever it is determined that the manuscript has not complied with the plagiarism rules, the article will be rejected. If it has been published (after accepting), it will be removed from the published list and placed in the withdrawn list (returned articles because of failure to observe plagiarism law).

Description

 Modern Technologies Law Journal (MTLJ) is an open-access, peer-reviewed quarterly Journal in Persian (with English abstracts) devoted to law and modern technologies issues. It is a quarterly scientific publication of the University of Science and Culture (USC). It is an interdisciplinary journal devoted to publishing original articles, review articles, etc., considering the research ethics and academic rules and regulations.

 Authors retain unrestricted copyrights and publishing rights. The author has complete control over the work (e.g. retains the right to reuse, distribute, republish etc.).

Authorship

 

Submission of the manuscripts is only possible after obtaining permission from all of its authors and relevant authorities/institutions. Authors have been arranged in the order they will appear in the published article. Once a manuscript has been accepted for publication, all authors must sign a statement agreeing to the addition or deletion of their names. The work of all the authors is greatly appreciated. In the peer-review process, authors must retract, corrections, and amendments. All financial support and potential conflicts of interest have been disclosed. All authors must approve any changes or corrections to a published work.

COPE

 Modern Technologies Law Journal (MTLJ) follows the policies and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). It abides by its Code of Conduct in dealing with potential misconduct cases.

Digital Archiving Policy

 Modern Technologies Law Journal (MTLJ) works with some organizations, such as the Scientific Information Database of Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research Database (SID), the Iran National Library and Archives, and our server of the University of Science and Culture (USC) for maintaining our digital archive. For the long-term preservation and accessibility of academic research, this ensures that digital file formats are upgraded and converted in accordance with new technology standards.

Data Citation

 

Data should be cited in the same way as article, book, and web citations and authors are required to include data citations as part of their reference list. Data citation is appropriate for data held within institutional, subject focused, or general data repositories. When citing or making claims based on data, authors must refer to the data at the appropriate place in the manuscript text and, in addition, provide a formal citation in the reference list. Modern Technologies Law Journal (MTLJ)  follows the format proposed by the Joint Declaration of Data Citation Principles: Authors; Year; Dataset title; Data repository or archive; Version (if any); Persistent identifier (e.g. DOI)".

Informed Consent

Human subjects' privacy rights should not be violated without their informed consent. Names or initials should not be used in descriptions, photographs, or pedigrees unless the participant (or parent or guardian) gives written informed consent. Before publication, an identifiable participant must be shown the manuscript. After publication, authors should notify patients if any personally identifiable information will be published online or in print. The Modern Technologies Law Journal (MTLJ), or the authors, should have a copy of the participants' written consent, as required by local regulations or laws.
