Guide for Authors


A) The author's requirements:
1. The author(s) full name and surname must be written in Persian and English.
2. The authors' level of education, academic rank, and affiliation should be specified in Persian and English.
3. Include the corresponding author's address, postal code, and phone number.
4. One of the article's authors must be a PhD holder or a faculty member of prestigious national or international universities or research centres, and preferably have a research background in the subject of the submitted article.
B) The article's requirements
1. The article should not be more than 8000 words.
2.  The article should include title, abstract, introduction, main text, conclusion, suggestions and bibliography (list of references).
3. Persian and English abstracts (minimum 150 and maximum 250 words) should include the topic, issue, the main result of the research and critical words.
4. Keywords should be at least three and at most five words.
5. The introduction should include the problem, questions, background, purpose and reference to the main structure of the article.
6. Footnote, the English equivalent of specialized words and letters of persons.
7. The article's writing should be subject to the calligraphy and grammar of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature.
8. Type the text of the articles with "B Lotus 13" font and the title of the article with "B Lotus 14". The internal headlines should be bold.
9. Persian footnotes should be typed with "B Lotus 9", English footnotes should be typed with "Times New Roman 8", and English abstracts should be typed with "Times New Roman 11".
10. The article's title in Persian and English should be short and precise.
11. The article has not been published anywhere before and has not been sent anywhere for publication.
12. To upload an article, it is necessary to send two files (the original file without the author's name and another file that includes the name and affiliations of authors).
13. The author is responsible for the accuracy of the article's contents and the list of references.
C) The citations style
1. Sources in the text should be introduced as 1) surname of the author 2) year of publication 3) page number and all three in parentheses, such as (Enayat, 1349, p. 25) and (Crawford, 2012, p. 98) If a source has multiple authors, do the following:
(Enayat et al., 1349, p. 25), (Crawford et al., 2012, p. 98)
2. In redirecting immediately, suffice it to mention the same word (ibid) and the page number.
3. Persian and English sources used at the end of the article, in alphabetical order, the surnames of the authors should be written as follows:
About books: surname, author name (year of publication). Book Name. Translator name. Volume number. Place of publication: Publisher name, time of printing.
Regarding articles in periodicals or magazines: surname, author name (year of publication). "Title". Name of publication, year or period of publication, issue of the journal, number of pages of the article in the journal.
- If a specific site has been used, in the references section, you should mention the full address of the site along with the date of the last visit:
www.ftc.gov/sites/default/files/attachments/merger.review/100819hmg.pdf (last visited: 2019-2-3).
- The titles of books and magazines in the resources' section should be in Italic.

D) How to submit an article
 Authors should submit their articles in the journal system:  http://mtlj.usc.ac.ir.

Along with the article, it is necessary to send the conflict of interest and the commitment form.
